About

In 1962 Ghanadi Talaee (Golden Pastry) opened its doors to customers in Iran. From the beginning, a culture was born where uniqueness and freshness of pastries became the core values to business success. As a result, throughout years the shop’s popularity grew exponentially to the point where huge lines formed outside the bakery every day.

The immense success of Golden Pastry created a need to open up to new market and opportunities. In 2003, a new branch with a new brand name was opened in Armenia. The store was called Papaya Pastry. Despite the differences in names the new pastry shop adhered to the culture of freshness and uniqueness. As Golden Pastry in the past, Papaya Pastry became a huge success. A strong and loyal customer base was created.

After the successes in Iranian and Armenian markets, the ever-growing demand created a pressure to open up to even bigger markets and opportunities. In 2010 a new branch opened its doors to customers in Glendale. The branch was named Papaya Pastry USA. Since then, the new branch became the new bearer of time-tested traditions and values of Golden Pastry and Papaya Pastry Armenia.
